Professor Anna CY Chan, Director of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, is a visionary leader with an unparalleled combination of artistic excellence, extensive management experience, and a vast industry network. In her 35 years of advancing performing arts and arts education, Prof Chan is renowned for her transformative leadership and has established a distinguished career that encompasses academia, arts administration, performance, production, and international collaboration. Her accolades include the Hong Kong Dance Award (2004, 2019, 2023), City Contemporary Dance Laureate (2016), Distinguished Achievement Award from the Hong Kong Dance Awards (2018), and AmCham’s Women of Influence Awards (2024).
Organisation Description
The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), established in 1984, is a world-leading higher education institution for the performing arts. It provides professionally oriented undergraduate education and postgraduate studies in Chinese Opera, Dance, Drama, Film and Television, Music, and Theatre and Entertainment Arts.
