Mr. Choi Kai Kwong serves as the Coordinator and Editor-in-Chief for Hong Kong Xiqu Overview 2021-2023, a project funded by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. For the past 18 years, his work has encompassed integrating Hong Kong Cantonese opera education into school curricula, conducting research on bamboo theatre culture, and fostering a holistic focus on Hong Kong Xiqu as a whole.

Following more than a decade of in-depth research on bamboo sheds, he compiled the award-winning book Hong Kong Bamboo Theatre Culture (in Chinese). The book is the first publication to examine Hong Kong bamboo theatres specifically as culture spaces, which covers the related intangible cultural heritage. The book was also awarded in the third Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Awards in 2021.
