Being the Executive Director, Ms Ivy Leung is dedicated to building a sustainable future with  CarbonCare InnoLab (CCIL), focusing on a just transition that connects climate action with social services to protect Hong Kong’s vulnerable communities. With a background that spans journalism, NGOs, philanthropic funding, and corporate social responsibility—gained through roles at Hands On Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, and Hang Seng Bank—she brings a multifaceted understanding of sustainable development.


Since joining CCIL, Ms Leung has participated in international climate conferences to exchange knowledge on mitigation, adaptation, and resilience, and has researched urban carbon reduction strategies through regional case studies. She holds a Master’s in Cultural Management from CUHK and a Bachelor’s in Broadcast Journalism from HKBU.


Ms Leung is committed to enhancing climate resilience through stakeholder collaboration and evidence-based advocacy, emphasising that marginalised groups often bear the highest cost of climate impacts. She promotes inclusive policymaking to advance climate justice and strengthen public engagement.


Organisation Description


Founded in 2014, CarbonCare InnoLab (CCIL) is a registered charity dedicated to catalysing the transition to low-carbon lifestyles and promoting climate action. Its mission is to nurture and expand a community active in climate justice through innovation, education, and action. It actively engages NGOs, businesses, policymakers, and youth in achieving a just transition to a low-carbon economy that respects and protects vulnerable communities. CCIL envisions a sustainable future where climate actions are accessible and inclusive.
